Summer Works and Strategic Projects Coordinator
Zoë Erb is responsible for implementing the activities and policies of the Washtenaw Summer Youth Employment Program, SummerWorks, a university and community partnership that provides opportunities for local youth to obtain summer employment, mentorship, and professional development. She also works on Poverty Solutions’ Understanding Deep Disadvantage project. Having previously held roles as a research assistant and a success coach for the program, Zoë is passionate about reducing educational disparities and closing opportunity gaps. She also works on projects that aim to alleviate homelessness using education data. Her background is in workforce development, career advising, and nonprofits. Prior to returning to graduate school, she worked at a Seattle-based company that coaches nonprofits on fundraising. Zoë holds a Master of Higher Education degree from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in Classics from Whitman College.
