Pinghui Wu is a postdoctoral research fellow at Poverty Solutions. Her research interests are in employment dynamics, poverty and inequality, and the effects of public policy on worker well-being. At Poverty Solutions, she engages in initiatives ranging from workforce development in the city of Detroit, flooding risk analysis for poor communities in the U.S., to projects examining the decline in labor force participation rates. Wu received a joint doctoral degree in economics and social work from the University of Michigan. She also holds master’s degrees in economics and social work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from National Taiwan University.
