Mapping Detroit’s Digital Divide

Former Poverty Solutions senior data and policy analyst Josh Rivera created this map of Detroit’s digital divide to inform the work of Poverty Solutions Digital Inclusion Fellow and City of Detroit Director of Digital Inclusion Joshua Edmonds. If you click on the “layers” icon on the left panel, you can select to view the share of residents with a computer and broadband internet for every census tract in the state. The map also identifies the location of libraries, recreation centers, and community centers, as potential community assets with internet access.
