Karissa Knapp

Karissa Knapp is a communications specialist on the Poverty Solutions team. She helps create, coordinate, and implement Poverty Solutions’ multi-channel marketing and communications plan, via the initiative’s email newsletters, social media, videos, and website. As a U-M alumna (Class of 2018) with a background in English and museum studies, her interests lie in creative marketing/communications, community engagement, museums/nonprofits, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has previously worked for higher education institutes and “3rd places of education,” such as the Institute for Social Research at U-M, Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, and the U-M Museum of Art.
