Ann Arbor guaranteed income program eased strain but didn’t shift food, housing insecurity

Poverty Solutions at the University of Michigan, which designed and implemented the program, has now released its report on the findings from the first year. It shows that after one year of the monthly payments, there were "no statistically significant differences in experiences of food, housing, and utility security between the groups who did and did not receive the extra $528 a month."
