Medicaid coverage promotes health and economic well-being for uninsured low-income adults. Medicaid expansion without work requirements has been associated with improved employment, health, and care access.1-4 With Medicaid expansion in Michigan, employment rates increased alongside health improvements among enrollees.2,5 We aimed to examine the association between health burden levels and employment outcomes by analyzing employment data over 3 years.
