Mel Monier
Mel Monier is the program manager for SummerWorks, a campus-community partnership between MichiganWorks! Southeast, Poverty Solutions, and Washtenaw County's Office of Community and Economic Development. In this role, she supports and advances the program's mission to build relationships between youth, local employers, and the broader Washtenaw County community in order to promote equity through youth empowerment, professional growth, and workforce development. Specifically, Monier supervises a team of Success Coaches and manages the daily operations of the SummerWorks program, a 16-week long program that provides internships, mentorship, and professional development to young adults aged 16-24 in Washtenaw County. Monier is a PhD candidate in communication and media at the University of Michigan.
