Jennifer J. Griggs

Professor, Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology; Professor, Department of Health Management and Policy, School of Public Health

Dr. Jennifer Griggs is a professor in the Department of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology and in the Department of Health Management and Policy in the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan. She is a medical oncologist with a practice focused on the care of women with breast cancer.

Her federally funded research program focuses on quality of care and equity in care for minoritized people and those in lower resourced areas. She also conducts research on and patient-provider communication and end-of-life care.

Griggs is the program director for the Michigan Oncology Quality Consortium, a statewide network of nearly all oncology practices. The purpose of the collaborative is to measure and improve oncology quality of care. A key focus of this work is on eliminating disparities in cancer care and outcomes.
