Go Blue Community College Pilot Project

The University of Michigan’s HAIL Scholarship and Go Blue Guarantee has started to identify high-achieving low-income high school students. However, the program missed such students enrolled within community colleges. Poverty solutions will develop and implement a random-controlled trial of an intervention which aims to increase the number of low-income students that successfully transfer from community colleges to the University of Michigan and complete a degree. A policy brief will focus on the community college transfers in Michigan with the goal of improving the abilities of low-income students to transfer to four year institutions.
